Crosswell Home uses volunteers to enrich the lives of children in a variety of different ways. Volunteer opportunities include a range of activities from a one-time special event to an ongoing partnership.   They can involve an individual or involve various type of groups in the community.  Below is a list of many ways volunteers are used to enhance the care and services we provide. Various background checks, fingerprinting, etc. are required for volunteering that involves regular contact with our children.  

• Individual Cottage Partner (assigned to cottage(s))

• Tutoring with the Afterschool Enrichment Program

• Organizing/Assisting with Clothing Closet and other Donations

• Providing Seasonal or one time activities, independent living skills lessons, holiday events, off campus events, etc.

• Work Days that involve meeting various campus project needs such as painting, grounds work, donation organization, etc.

• Child Mentor (must have been a long term volunteer who has met requirements as approved by the Executive Director)
